A Cause for Celebration - The Chalet School’s Ofsted Report Results

I am absolutely delighted to share with you the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection. We were inspected under the new framework and were graded ‘Expected’ in every standard. This is a huge achievement for The Chalet School and represents the hard work and dedication of our amazing staff team. The new inspection framework started in November 2025, so we are one of the first schools to undergo this new system. However, the data so far is showing that to achieve Expected across the board is above average so definitely a cause for celebration!

I am happy to share with you the grading and a paragraph on what it is like to be a pupil at The Chalet School.

“Pupils at The Chalet School experience a nurturing and inclusive environment where they feel safe, valued and able to learn. From the moment they arrive, calm routines and positive relationships with staff help pupils to regulate and prepare for the day. They settle quickly and engage confidently in their learning. Staff know pupils very well. Barriers to learning and wellbeing are identified and reduced through personalised support, strong communication with families and rigorous use of education, health and care plan information. As a result, pupils trust staff, form positive attachments and are able to participate fully in school life.”

I would like to say a huge thank you parents and carers in our wonderful school community. Your support is hugely appreciated, and we know that we are all working together for the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
