Admissions
The local authority is the placing/admitting authority. Decisions on placement are made by SENRAP (Special Educational Needs Resource and Assessment Panel). Pupils will normally have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). Some very young children may take up a place in our foundation stage class while a statutory assessment is completed. The type of school appropriate for each pupil is always named in section I (Education Placement) after the outcome of the Statutory Assessment.
The Special Educational Needs Assessment Team at Swindon Borough Council can be contacted on - 01793 463000.
You are welcome to visit us to help you make the decision as to whether we are the right educational provision for your child but please do not expect us to ensure your child gains a place. It is, however, important that you make your views clear to the resource and assessment panel as parents' views are always taken in to consideration. You can always telephone us to ask questions and to gain support and advice but we cannot recommend placement, to our school or any other educational provision. We can, however, point you in the direction of professionals who can assist you in these important decisions.
