The Chalet School Expansion Consultation & Parent Survey

Following a review of specialist placements, by Swindon Borough Council (SBC), it was identified that there is a shortage of Special Education Need (SEN) places locally and as a result SBC has commissioned a additional 16 places at The Chalet School for September 2024. The additional places will increase the PAN (Published Admission Number) at The Chalet School from 72 to 88. 

These additional places will primarily be met by opening of a satellite provision at Headlands, within the building used by All Aboard Nursery and BASIS. 16 children will be accommodated at this sire, split into two classes. 

As this site is already used to provide education, only minor works will be required to ensure that the children based a Headlands receive the same quality of provision and education to the children based at the main school site. 

The consultation will run for four weeks from Thursday 11th of April until Wednesday 8th May 2024.
